A Juicy Revelation - When Pineapple Met Yellow Pepper

I recently stumbled across a juice recipe by Adrienne Reece, the juicing queen who’s known
for her easy-to-follow videos, creative recipes, and all-around juicing knowledge. If you haven’t seen her content, let me tell you—she has a way of making you want to grab a juicer and experiment.
One of her recipes caught my eye (and raised my eyebrows): pineapple and yellow bell pepper. Now, I’ve been juicing for a while, but a pepper in my juice?
I was skeptical, to say the least.
But let me tell you, hunnnnayyyy, when I say the juice was juicing—it was juicing!
The sweetness of the pineapple mixed with the mild tangy undertone of the yellow pepper was surprisingly refreshing. It was a flavor combination I didn’t know I needed in my life. The yellow pepper didn’t overpower the drink like I feared; instead, it added this subtle earthiness that balanced the sweetness of the pineapple perfectly.

That said, I did have one small issue—the acidity. Pineapple can be a little harsh on my throat these days (oh, how I miss the days when I could handle all the citrus without a care in the world!). The juice was delicious, but I knew I couldn’t drink it often without tweaking it a bit.

So, I reached out to Adrienne because I love that she’s so accessible and truly wants to help people on their juicing journey. She didn’t disappoint! Her advice? Reduce the pineapple a bit and add papaya to tone down the acidity.Brilliant! Not only does papaya smooth out the tanginess, but it’s also loaded with enzymes that are great for digestion.
After trying her suggestion, I can confidently say this juice is now in my regular rotation. It’s bright, refreshing, and full of tropical vibes without being too harsh on my throat. Adrienne Reece definitely knows her stuff, and if you haven’t checked out her recipes yet, go visit her YouTube channel for the original recipe and other amazing juicing videos!

Have you ever juiced with peppers before? Let me know if you try this combo!
