For a toy that's often available at major retailers for much less, that's a huge markup. If you're willing to be patient and keep checking your local stores, you can usually save quite a bit of money.

This one was an easy yes!

The texture felt great, the squish was satisfying, and both of my kiddos immediately wanted one. We ended up bringing home two.

🧈 Butter Squishy from Walmart⭐⭐☆☆☆

Unfortunately...

The smell completely ruined this one for us.

My kids picked it up, squeezed it once, and quickly put it back on the shelf.

This one surprised us—in the wrong way.

We expected an incredibly soft cloud-like squeeze, but instead it felt firm and lacked that slow, satisfying squish that NeeDoh fans love.

It actually reminded us more of a rubber stress ball than a sensory squishy.

Watching it change colors is definitely cool.

The downside?

It flattens fairly quickly after repeated squeezing.

Still fun—but probably not our favorite.

Jumbo Duck ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Now this one impressed us.

Because of its larger size, you really feel like you're getting your money's worth.

It has an amazing slow squish and quickly became one of our family's favorites.

One of the biggest surprises!

Not only does it have an awesome squish, but watching it change color in the sunlight makes it even more fun.

No sticky residue.No mess.Just a great sensory toy.

🌭 Sunny Days Hot Dog ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

This one gets bonus points because it's almost like getting two squishies in one.

The only downside?

The bun tends to shed a little over time.

Otherwise, it's one of the most entertaining designs we've found.

🍮 Squishy Jello ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

If I had to pick the best-smelling squishy...

This would win every single time.

It has a fruity scent that's honestly addictive.

The only drawback is that it's fairly sticky, which means it loves collecting lint, dust, and pet hair.

🎮 Squishy Game Controllers, Dice & Dodsons ⭐☆☆☆☆

These stayed at Target.

The Dodsons felt much firmer than expected and didn't have the soft squeeze we were looking for.

The controllers and dice were simply too sticky for our family's liking.

Sometimes it's okay to leave a viral toy on the shelf.
